 For the Emmy® Award- winning series, BIOGRAPHY®, on A&E NETWORK, and Bombo Sports & Entertainment (New York, NY), producers of film and television sports documentaries, hsr/ny’s George Meyer has mixed six one hour profiles on tennis titans Arthur Ashe, Chris Evert, Steffi Graf and Martina Navratilova, and skating Olympians Michelle Kwan and Katarina Witt. The six documentaries premiered on A&E NETWORK, beginning in October, and will also air on A&E/The Biography Channel on dates yet to be determined.

sports shows with George for over 20 years. In fact, the first thing we do in a
production is slot George Meyer in for our sound. These shows, made up of
talking heads and stock footage, are not dense from a sound standpoint. These
are quiet shows, no music tracks and big elaborate sound designs to carry you
thorough. There is no hiding, so there can be a lot of work for George. If there
were any problems, he solved them,” explained Bombo Sports & Entertainment

”Although the audio post for the six docs was relatively straightforward,” added
George Meyer, “we had to fill in the silent B-roll, so there was a great deal of
sound design which needed to be created as we went through the process.”
Each show is delivered as an OMF and Meyer employed an AudioFile in the
completion of the audio post for the six documentaries.
