Rolling Meadows, IL, USA & The Philippines, March 31, 2006 (XTVWorld.Com) -- Globe Telecom of The Philippines and fastmobile, the leader in the design and supply of integrated messaging and content access solutions for mobile network operators today announced the execution of contracts and the upcoming launch of services in The Philippines. This agreement enables the creation of VAS and delivery to the more than 12M subscribers of Globe Telecom. With the fastmobile experience (fmxT) users are able to utilise presence based applications for mobile IM such as Chikka, MSN, Yahoo and others as well as an integrated native address book along with a host of integrated messaging features. fmXT enables multimedia functionality such as text, picture and video messaging along with gaming, Voice Instant Messaging and business applications. These services deploy on both 2.5 and 3G networks, which Globe plans on launching in the near future.

With this announcement, fastmobile adds The Philippines to a growing list of countries that include China, South Korea, Germany, Austria, Sweden, and the USA, where fastmessenger is marketed commercially by mobile operators and telecoms service providers.

The agreement brings fastmobile's innovative fmxT services to one of the world's most advanced mobile telecommunications markets, The Philippines. The service, currently planned to be marketed under the Globe brand, will offer Filipino mobile phone users a one-of-a-kind integrated combination of integrated messaging and advanced multimedia messaging features.

John Hoffman, CEO of fastmobile announced, "This is a significant step to bringing integrated and unified multimedia applications to businesses and consumers in SE Asia's leading market and with the leading carrier in The Philippines. The ability to integrate financial transactions, messaging and multimedia services to high, mid and low end handsets brings mobile telecommunications to the next level in terms of versatility, practicality and value to the end user."

Ferdz dela Cruz, Head Mobile Consumer Business Group said, "Globe users now have a simple way to use mobile IM, SMS, send picture and videos as well as use our G Cash, Share a load and Ask G services. This makes using VAS and other services easier, more fun and expands what can be done with the mobile phone. At the same time, Globe has a means to deliver many new services and applications that add direct value for our consumer and enterprise customers. This perfectly fits our goals of transforming and enriching lives through communications. The fastmobile platform now gives Globe the means to quickly introduce new VAS and 3G services to our customers."
