MauriceinIreland writes "2006 is bound to be an exceedingly eventful year as far as the music world is concerned. Already plans have been drawn up to honour one of the most famous names in classical music, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; because this year marks the 250 Anniversary of his birth, which took place on the 27th January 1756.
Swords, Ireland, January 3, 2006 (XTVWorld.Com) -- Sharing a birthday the same month is none other than the extraordinary and legendary, Elvis Aaron Presley. This year marks the 50th Anniversary of Elvis’s amazing recording of “Heartbreak Hotel” a song which caught the imagination of millions world-wide. The year also marks the anniversaries of Elvis’s famous television debut and the release of his movie, “Love Me Tender. Back in 1956 Elvis was also honoured by the town of his birth Tupelo Mississippi.
Both men died very young, Mozart at 36 in 1791 and Elvis at 42 in 1977. Since then both men have had beautiful bronze statues erected in the place of their birth.
Mozart loved for his amazing compositions, and Elvis for his wonderful and versatile voice, they are bound together forever in the unfolding history of music.
