Posted on Saturday, May 29, 2004 @ 09:53:42 EDT by Editorial Team

Movie Production Editing Shooting gdk writes "Arete Films, LLC of Baltimore, Maryland, is pleased to announce it has signed veteran actor Carl Anthony Tramon of New York City, to star in the upcoming independent feature film, “Pizza Palace”. He will play the role of Alex Corey, an irresponsible American teenager of Hellenic ancestry who comes to terms with both his immaturity and heritage.

Baltimore, Maryland May 29, 2004 (Xtvworld)--Mr. Tramon has had a vast array of acting experience to include theatrical roles on Broadway and with the Royal Shakespeare Company in London, England. He has worked on several television programs, most notably on ABC’s “Growing Pains” with Alan Thicke, and on NBC’s “Saved by the Bell”, where he played the gullible teenager Lefty Senestra. As Lefty he was the butt of the “in crowd’s” pranks. As Alex in “Pizza Palace”, his role is reversed as he is the one playing the pranks.

Most recently Carl completed filming the feature film, “Lackluster Syndrome”, and is starring in a TV pilot called “Spaceboyz”. Spaceboyz is slated to premier on the WB network in October 2004.

The director of “Pizza Palace, Radhames Lopez said he was thrilled to be working with the caliber of performer of Carl Tramon. Marie Ridgely, who managed the lengthy casting process, was very happy at landing Carl as he brings the perfect mix of experience, youthfulness, camera presence and will work very well with his love interest, Marina, played by Ursula Taherian.

“Pizza Palace” is a family oriented film that will be shot in the Baltimore area, and is labeled as a dramatic comedy. George Kardulias of northern Virginia will be costarring with Carl Tramon in the role of Greek immigrant restaurant owner George Stamakos. Mr. Kardulias who auditioned and screen tested with Carl said he was highly impressed with the degree of realism Carl brought to the role of Alex and feels Carl will greatly enhance the quality of this independent film to a very high level.

Filming for the teaser is set for Saturday, June 5, 2004 in Baltimore. Press and media are being invited to this event. For further details on the casting of Carl Tramon, or to obtain an invitation to the teaser, and one on one interviews with Mr. Tramon, please contact executive producer, Mr. Kyriakos Marudas at (443) 739-6030, or the office of the director, Mr. Radhames Lopez, at (410) 666-5011, or Marie Ridgely at (443) 536-9529.
