Rennes, France, April 2, 2008 (XTVWorld.Com) -- GigaCaster is a high-density video gateway which can transport up to 8x MPEG-2 Transport Streams over IP networks. GigaCaster performs both encapsulation (ASI to IP) and dis-encapsulation (IP to ASI) simultaneously. Each DVB-ASI interface can be configured either as input or output. GigaCaster preserves both MFN and SFN networks and is capable of performing clock drift correction if no external clock reference is available.
GigaCaster
high density gateway complements Enensys Technologies video gateways range by adding multiple streams capability to the company's portfolio. With its FastCaster and GigaCaster video gateways, Enensys Technologies offers cost-effective and optimized solutions whether the need is to distribute low bitrate mobile TV content to transmitters or exchange multiple high bitrates multiplexes between sites.
