MauriceinIreland writes "Beethoven scholars worldwide recognise the many well know portraits of the great composer Ludwig Van Beethoven. They appear in the classical music books, magazines, art shops, and on webpages etc. They are just as recognisable as the famous images of Elvis Presley. But not this one!!!
Swords, Ireland, May 16, 2007 (XTVWorld.Com) -- Even the folks at the Beethoven-haus Bonn are at a loss.
We have aquired a very rare print depicting an oil painting of Beethoven in a wooded landscape including a flute playing Nymph! Titled, "Thus did all nature whisper to the Master".
It appears to be completely unknown to Beethoven officianados!
An opportune time as the Hollywood movie "Copying Beethoven", featuring Beethoven's astounding
Ninth Symphony, appears in Cinemas around the world.
