Posted on Wednesday, January 31, 2007 @ 11:42:13 EST by xtv

DSL Cable ISP Wi-Fi WiMAX WLAN webitpr writes "Third annual listing of the top 100 providers for the emerging machine-to-machine market.

Herndon, VA, USA, January 31, 2007 (XTVWorld.Com) -- KORE Telematics, North America's largest independent provider of wireless GSM services for the machine to machine (M2M) market, today announced KORE has been selected to be among the 2007 M2M 100 listing by the editors of M2M Magazine. The M2M 100 is an annual assessment of the key technology providers in the M2M market, it identifies the companies that have the greatest impact on the direction of technology and who are shaping the market as it continues to evolve.

"We have been observing KORE Telematics' accelerated growth over the past few years," said Peggy Smedley, editorial director and president for M2M Magazine.

"Being selected for the M2M 100 means the editors of M2M magazine, along with the editorial advisory board, recognize KORE Telematics as one of the most important and influential technology providers in machine-to-machine communications," added Smedley.

Companies listed in the M2M 100 passed a rigorous selection process which included such criteria as customer references; business-model strength and execution; and market leadership.

The listing is a key barometer on the M2M market, which is on the cusp of significant growth. According to Harbor Research, M2M market revenue will top $290 billion by 2011, a 580 percent increase from this year. In addition, Harbor predicts 100 million to 160 million M2M connections could be using wireless mobile networks by 2007.

"At KORE Telematics, we have seen the market grow from simple 'Where are we?' tracking to now adopting sophisticated data connectivity for vehicle diagnostics and utility remote control to broad social programs such as offender monitoring and video streaming for healthcare diagnosis," said Alex Brisbourne, president and chief operating officer for KORE Telematics. "We are proud to be listed on the M2M 100 and KORE will continue to execute on our mission to lead the market in the provision of wireless data and telematics services through excellence in innovation, knowledge and service standards."

The M2M 100 is featured in the M2M Magazine's 2007 M2M Sourcebook, a comprehensive reference guide to M2M technology. The Sourcebook features a comprehensive guide to M2M and its technology providers. It also includes leading industry data from analyst firms, as well as analysis from M2M magazine's editorial team.
