Infonet Implements Global MPLS IP Network for Lloyd's Register

UK Based Risk Management Organization Will Also Utilize Infonet's Mobility Services for Employees' Remote Access
El Segundo, Calif, United States, Wednesday, May 19, 2004 (Business Wire India)--Infonet Services Corporation (NYSE:IN), a leading provider of global communications services for multinationals, Monday announced the signing of a multi-year contract with Lloyd's Register, an independent risk management organization. Under the terms of the agreement, Infonet is replacing Lloyd's Register's current global frame relay network with an Infonet managed MPLS-enabled IP VPN Secure wide area network, which will be providing secure, cost-effective global communications to more than 50 of the Company's sites throughout Europe, Asia, Australia and the Americas.
In making the decision to partner with Infonet for its communications needs, Lloyd's Register highlighted Infonet's ability to deliver a scalable and secure global network that improves both the performance and accessibility of Lloyd's Register in-house systems and mission-critical e-business applications. Lloyd's Register also recognized the ability of Infonet's Mobility Services to address its requirement for anytime, anywhere secure remote network access for mobile employees.
