Winners of CNET UK Technology Award Announced

London, UK, September 28, 2006 (XTVWorld.Com) -- CNET Networks UK, a leading UK interactive technology publisher, announced the winners of the 2006 CNET Networks UK Technology Awards (www.cnetnetworks.co.uk/awards) at a celebratory dinner held last night in the London Hilton on Park Lane. The awards, sponsored by Intel, recognise innovation, application and excellence in technology and business.

Attended by over 600 key industry players, the awards celebrated the outstanding successes the UK technology industry has seen over the last year. Among the winners was Sir Robin Saxby who was recognised for Outstanding Contribution to the UK Technology Industry. Sir Robin has made ARM one of the true success stories of the IT industry. The judges also gave special mention to how instrumental Sir Robin continues to be in promoting the importance of technology and engineering, spreading the word with fervour and commitment.

Congratulating the winners, Tom Bureau, Managing Director of CNET Networks UK, said: "2006 has been another amazing year for the UK technology industry with many new technology products and projects coming to fruition. The winners' achievements reflect the high calibre of innovation coming from the industry's many talented people.
