Movie Production Editing Shooting “The Enemy,” the second motion picture written, and directed by award winning writer, Dean J. Augustin, has been selected for screening at the 2004 Asian Film Festival of Dallas Film Festival, June 4th through June 10th.

(PRWEB) May 18, 2004--“The Enemy,” the second motion picture written, and directed by award winning writer, Dean J. Augustin, has been selected for screening at the 2004 Asian Film Festival of Dallas Film Festival, June 4th through June 10th.

“It’s truly an honor to be included in the Asian Film Festival of Dallas,” says Augustin. “I have been fortunate to have my work screened at festivals around the globe but this is my first screening in Dallas. I’m very excited,” says the award-winning writer. “It will be interesting to see the audience reaction,” according to Augustin. “My film deals with a very difficult subject for many Asian Americans.”

From the Rape of Nanking to the interment of Japanese Americans, “The Enemy,” explores the unique parallels between the Citizens of the Empire of Japan, and Japanese Americans during the Second World War. Using archive film footage, and original audio recordings, The Good Fight – Digital Motion Pictures recreates the hysteria and fear surrounding “the enemy.”

The 33-minute documentary was produced entirely from Internet sources. “I was looking for a fusion of technology with the ‘roots’ of independent film,” says the Plano, Texas, based filmmaker. “A simple production that entertains a wide audience.”

MORE INFORMATION: Dean J. Augustin is an award winning Texas based writer and director. His writing credits include, “Champions of Industry,” a regular feature on CNN’s Headline News, and The Discovery Channel. Dean has rewritten two original feature scripts for producer Michael Waxman (The Insider, Ali.) After winning the American Cinema Foundation Screenwriting Contest, Dean started “The Good Fight - Digital Motion Pictures” to create, and promote his unique method of filmmaking. His first film, “The Secret Journal of Benny Travis,” won a Platinum Remi Award at Worldfest in Houston and was an Official Selection at The Fredrick Festival of Film, The Philadelphia Video Festival, The EdgeWorks Film Festival, and International Festival of Cinema and Technology Sydney, London, Toronto, New York, Orlando.
