Palo Alto, California, United States, October 27, 2004 (Xtvworld) -- The new products are built to further extend the functionality and usability of the RenderX XEP Rendering Engine. Built on the XEP foundation, RenderX’s full range of products provide dynamic presentation of sophisticated documents, enabling customers to single-source their content for both web and print applications.
RenderX XEP supports the XSL Formatting Objects (XSL FO) Recommendation and the Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) Recommendation for uniform, powerful, industry standard representation of source documents. XEP renders multi-media content in Adobe’s Portable Document Format (PDF) and Adobe Postscript, the de-facto standards for digital typography. XEP conforms to the W3C Recommendations Extensible Stylesheet Language (XSL) Version 1.0 and a subset of the Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) 1.1 Specification. XEP outputs formatted documents in Adobe's PDF version 1.3 (with optional support for features from new versions) and PostScript level 2 or 3 formats.
RenderX’s new product line includes:
XEP v4 Desktop – software for personal use for creating documentation like books and manuals
XEP v4 Integration & Connectivity Kit – Application Programmer Interface (API) documentation, developer's guide, deployable components with source code for Servlet, Enterprise Java Bean, Cocoon, and CLISER (RenderX’s own client-server protocol kit)
XEP v4 Server – software for high performance, server-side rendering of content
EnMasse v1 – a powerful solution for high-performance content formatting that provides a distributed formatting server environment
“Our new XEP product line provide users with out of the box solutions for a full range of solutions from single-user desktop authoring environment to mass mailing systems and database reporting,” said Anatol Kaganovich, RenderX’s Vice President of Marketing. “Our newest product, EnMasse, provides our Global 1000 customer base with a fully scalable solution for distributing formatting servers and delivers the ability to minimize initial investment with the easiest path available to add formatting capacity as their business requires.”
