Transformation - the key theme at TM Forum Management World this year.

Nice, France, May 21, 2008 (XTVWorld.Com) -- The TM Forum announced the highlights of its Management World Event , which promises to exceed in every respect last year's record breaking event. Exciting the industry is the conferences' core theme of "transformation" driven by significant changes in the industry. Keynote speakers and sessions will look at various aspects of transformation such as:
• Transformation of business models and portfolios
• Transformation of business processes and supporting IT systems and converged Service Delivery Platforms
• Transformation of networks to an all IP approach

These transformation themes are the focus of the conference's keynote speaker line-up: Sol Trujillo, CEO at Telstra; Paul Reynolds CEO Telecom New Zealand; Group CTO at BT, Matt Bross; Alan E Bell, EVP at Paramount Pictures; Imran Khand at Picsel Technologies, along with Mika Vehvilainen COO of Nokia Siemens Networks. These speakers give an unparalleled insight into the possibilities of new business opportunities, new services and new ways of working that will change the industry out of all recognition.

Martin Creaner, President TM Forum: "This year like no other, the transformation that the industry is under-going is directly reflected in the breadth and scope of the work of the TM Forum. New requirements are emerging every day for standards and frameworks to enable this transformed market-place, and the TM Forum is well placed to help the industry understand and deliver on these requirements." Creaner explains "Management World is where all these elements come together and most importantly it is where increasingly senior service provider executives are benefiting from the networking opportunities and the exchange of information."

The "transformation" theme continues in ForumVille, new at Management World this year and at the heart of the exhibition area where Content Encounter, 7 Catalyst showcases, the Prosspero Booth, and all things TM Forum are situated. It provides a focal point of for visitors to find out about the Forum and its programs and to see demonstrations and speak to experts in their fields. It is also where 30 Vendors, System Integrators and Adopters for the Prosspero program will be formally recognized for their part in the Prosspero program, now central to the TM Forum's Interface Program.

New TM Forum initiatives in Cable, Device Management and Content Encounter, are all given full exposure this year with dedicated sections in the conference and catalysts as well as specific meetings.

The Content Encounter, now in its second phase, is new at Management World and shows how every organisation involved in providing digital services can deliver, manage and charge for services successfully. The live demonstration shows how to achieve: personalisation of content; deliver seamless services, monetised and delivered over multiple devices. It also shows how complex multi-vendor value chains are creating the need for new interfaces in the industry.

The TM Forum community is more vibrant than ever and continues to grow, with almost 700 member companies. It is increasingly been seen as the place where Service Providers and their Vendors turn to for answers to enable better services to be provided, quicker and at a lower cost through industry-wide collaboration. TM Forum Management World is the global event where these elements come together.
