Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) May 21, 2004 -- The Second Annual Los Angeles Improv Comedy Fest kicks off in Hollywood at the Improv Olympic Theatre West, Sunday, June 6, through Sunday, June 13, 2004. Last year's 3 day event has expanded to a full week, featuring daily Improv comedy workshops and nightly shows at The Improv Olympic Theatre, Second City, Acme, and Bang.
Scheduled to perform are cast members from Mad TV, Saturday Night Live and Curb Your Enthusiasm, Less than Perfect (NBC) Significant Others (NBC), Scrubs (NBC), Still Standing (CBS) and My Big Fat Greek Fiancé (Fox), Simpsons (Fox) as well as Improv groups from Los Angeles, Southern CA, NYC, Chicago, Minneapolis, New Orleans, Seattle, San Francisco, Boston, Toronto and the Philippines.
Shelley Berman (Curb Your Enthusiasm) will receive the Del Close Lifetime Achievement Award, Saturday, June 12, 2004
Proceeds from the festival will benefit Project Angel Food, a charity that provides daily meals to people homebound by the effects of HIV/AIDS
